Pocket water: mimicking various types of geology that are generally non-porous and produce voids, noting lava flows that become ridges and peaks, some of those flows have large air holes. The air holes left in stones exposed at the surface create small “pocket water” pools after rain or snow melt.

An old Terracotta pot is porous, however water only seeps through slowly, the sides of the pot breathe when sunk into the soil. The pressure of the soil helps hold the water in place. (Less so in sandy soils). The feature works two ways, one as an environmental cooling center, and two as a hydration station that uses a small amount of water.
